1. Tell me what printed materials you need and what you want them to do for you.

7. You give final approval and I produce the materials or hand off the files to you for production, whatever we’ve agreed to at the start.

print icon My Print Design Philosophy

I create work that blends classic elements of print design with what we know about how people use the web. Why? Because in today’s media rich environment, it is the web which leads in innovation and sets the standard for what people expect to see in all forms of entertainment, be it television, the printed page or a new package design.

In the right balance, I believe applying what we know about how people use different media can deliver consistently dazzling, dynamic and dominant print design which can help move a business one step closer to its customers.

Answers to Your Questions...

Why Kalisher Design?
Get big-time experience at a small-time price. That’s the short of it. I have been designing for the printed page since 1992 when I honed my craft designing children’s books for Usborne. Two of those books won awards, by the way. Since then, I’ve designed travel guides for Dorling Kindersley, newspapers in Mexico and everything from 20 foot store banners to really cool packaging for Apple Computer.

Technical Mumbo Jumbo
I design in Quark, InDesign, Illustrator and PageMaker and design Word documents and PowerPoint presentations. No sweat.

Sure You Sound Clever, But Can You Meet A Deadline?
This is business. It should be fun. But it is business. And you have deadlines. And my job is to meet them. I have never missed a deadline yet. And I don’t intend to start. If you have the time and interest, you can call several of my clients and ask them how well I met their expectations not to mention their deadlines.

Is This Expensive?
It doesn’t have to be. I charge very competitive rates. Not to mention that working through Kalisher Design will be less expensive than working through a larger organization that has to pay overhead not to mention the salaries of all those expensive Account Executive types who are paid ridiculous sums to run interference between you (the client) and me (the creative talent). We simply cut out the middleman and get the work done twice as fast and for a fraction of the cost.
